Multiverse/ sci-Fi and beyond

This week is all about the incomprehensible future. I read a short story for this week because a certain title caught my interest, "I have no mouth. And I must scream". It was a terrifying and odd story. This small group of people is stuck in this computer that puts them through battles of the body and mind but never kills them, only tortures them. The story starts out with one of them staring up at a dead copy of himself and ends with one guy who "saves" the others and is left with no mouth and an urge to scream.
It makes you think of the future and how technology will be apart of that. There are so many stories about both the good and the bad. Stories of how technology attacks humans and brings us to the end of our kind and also stories of how it advances us in curing un-curable diseases and saves us from world destruction. It's hard to know what will eventually happen. We are advancing so much and so fast, there is no real insight to the final outcome.
